<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Shoji paper strong in rainstorm, excellent in burst strength, and simultaneously easy in pasting work to paste it on a frame of a Shoji screen and peeling work. <P>SOLUTION: A coat film layer 12 having a synthetic resin as a principal component is pasted on the outer surface side of a paper film layer 11 containing a vegetable fiber and other fibrous materials with an adhesive 14 to form an adhesive layer 13 to be pasted to the frames 21a and 21b of the Shoji screen on the inner surface side of this paper film layer 11. At this time, the coat film layer 12 is formed such that a burst strength and a water repellency are higher than the paper film layer 11, and the adhesive layer 13 is made of the coat film layer 12 and a material lower in thermally melting temperature than the adhesive 14 with a thermally melting adhesive.
