<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-use dental floss holder and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This single-use dental floss holder includes: a base portion; first and second spaced arms integral with and extending from the base portion, each of the spaced arms having a distal section; and a length of dental floss secured between the distal sections of the spaced arms. This method of manufacturing the single-use dental floss includes: a step of providing a mold having a cavity 110 for receiving molten plastic and a groove 114 having an aspect ratio of about 10:1 or greater for receiving a length of wax coated dental floss; a step of positioning the length of dental floss in the groove of the mold; a step of injecting the molten plastic into the cavity of the mold; and a step of cooling the molten plastic about the length of dental floss having the wax composition applied thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
