<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker with which rice positioned at any part of a pot absorbs water enough and is cooked soft and delicious. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: the pot 2; pot heating means 5 for heating the pot 2; a lid 3 for covering an opening of the pot 2; an inner lid 4 provided on the lower surface of the lid 3 and closing the pot 2; inner lid heating means 9 for heating the inner lid 4; control means 7 for controlling the pot heating means 5 and the inner lid heating means 9; and rice-volume determination means for determining the volume of rice to be cooked in the pot 2. A surface of the inner lid 4 facing the pot 2 is formed so as to have a high far-infrared radiation emissivity, and the control means 7 controls the pot heating means 5 and the inner lid heating means 9 so that the pot temperature does not exceed the gelatinization temperature during a pre-cooking process. Thereby, in the pre-cooking process, the rice can be heated without rapid increase of the temperature of rice close to the pot bottom near the pot heating means 5, the rise can be efficiently heated from the top of the pot and absorbs water enough, resulting in obtaining the soft and delicious cooked rice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
