<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell separator material in which a layer containing Au can be strongly and uniformly formed on a surface of a stainless steel substrate and adhesiveness and corrosion resistance required to a fuel cell separator can be ensured. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a fuel cell separator material in which a surface layer 6 containing Au and Cr is formed on a surface of a stainless steel substrate 2, an intermediate layer 2a containing Cr in 20 atom% or more and O in 20 atom% or more to less than 50 atom% is present for 1 nm or more between the surface layer 6 and the stainless steel substrate 2, an area in which the concentration of Au is 65 atom% or more is present for the thickness of 1.5 nm or more, the maximum concentration of Au is 80 atom% or more, and a metal layer containing Cr in 50 atom% or more is not present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
