<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing an image forming condition control with higher accuracy in light of developer humidity conditioning behavior when a developing device is driven or stopped. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 that forms an image by an electrophotographic image forming process comprises; control means 302 that controls image forming condition based on an environment history information and information related to a drive state of a developing device. After a temperature and humidity environment measured by a temperature/humidity sensor 51 is changed to a temperature and humidity environment which is different from indicated by an environment information at a first point stored in storage means 303, the image forming condition is changed to an image forming condition which is different from that corresponding to the temperature and humidity environment indicated by the environment information at the first point.
