<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of securely obtaining an expected image quality and preventing a situation in which image quality unevenness occurs in each image forming apparatus by accurately determining that a secondary transfer roller part is in contact with an intermediate transfer belt in a normal pressure state. <P>SOLUTION: A multifunction machine 1 comprises: developing units 2M and so on; an intermediate transfer belt 10; a transfer roller 9; a second transfer roller 14; a movement mechanism 76; a density sensor 18; a control part 111 for executing a toner pattern transfer control for causing both the intermediate transfer belt 10 and second transfer roller 14 to transfer a toner pattern after causing, for example, the developing unit 2M to form the toner pattern on the intermediate transfer belt 10; and a determination part 112 for determining that the pressure between the second transfer roller 14 and intermediate transfer belt 10 moved by the movement mechanism 76 is in a normal pressure state if the toner pattern detected by the density sensor 18 reaches a predefined density value after the toner pattern transfer control is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
