<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer optical waveguide capable of easily installing in a light receiving device and a light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer optical waveguide is provided with a film base material for cladding and a core composed of high polymer material, which is composed of a light guide part formed on one surface of the film base material for cladding, reflection mirror surfaces formed on both sides of the light guide part, an extension part formed at an outer part of at least one of the reflection mirror surfaces, in a concavity of the film base material for cladding, and a first optical element part facing the reflection mirror surface across the extension part.
