<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PLC that makes it possible to adjust a position of a beam incident on a light receiving surface of an optical module integrated in the PLC, and a light receiving device employing the PLC. <P>SOLUTION: The PLC includes an input waveguide 304 to which light is input, a directional coupler 306 which branches the light, waveguide arms 308 and 310 through which the branched light beams transmit, a directional coupler which multiplexes the light beams transmitted through the waveguide arms, and output waveguides 312 and 314. By irradiating the waveguide arms with ultraviolet rays or heating them by a thin film heater, the position of light outputted from an output end face can be adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
