<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system appropriately projecting both of an image area of high luminance and an image area of low luminance even when both of the areas coexist within an image. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope system includes an endoscope 11 provided with an imaging part 21 and an external controller 45 to which the signals of picked-up images are input from the endoscope 11. The imaging part 21 includes a plurality of two-dimensionally arrayed light receiving parts and a scanning drive part for performing the scanning read processing of signals based on charges respectively stored in the respective light receiving parts. In the scanning read processing, the read of charge signals along lines in a main scanning direction being the arrangement direction of the light receiving parts is repeated for two or more times in a sub scanning direction. The scanning drive part performs the scanning read processing in either one of a normal mode for setting an exposure period equally to the sub scanning direction and a sensitivity change mode for setting the exposure period longer for the line in a predetermined area in the sub scanning direction than for the lines of the other areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
