<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming method which are capable of instantaneously stabilizing a transfer output (output voltage) at the time of transferring a toner image to a transferred body (sheet), securely separating the sheet from a photosensitive drum after forming a toner image without causing a separation failure, and are applicable to a high-speed image forming processing. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a photoreceptor drum on which a toner image is formed, a transfer roller which is disposed in contact with the photoreceptor drum and transfers the toner image to a transferred body, and a separation device disposed in the vicinity of the transfer roller. Before or simultaneously when the transferred body reaches a contact part between the photoreceptor drum and the transfer roller, a voltage is applied to the transfer roller and separation device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
