<p>The claimed invention relates to electric light sources and, more specifically, to electric circuits of light sources based on light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The invention reduces the time for turning a light source on and off relative to the time that power is supplied, improves performance and reduces operating temperature. The LED light source comprises a diode rectifier bridge having LEDs connected to the output thereof. A current regulator is connected in series to said LEDs. The current regulator comprises a voltage regulator, the output of which is connected to a first terminal of a resistor, the second terminal of which is the output pf the current regulator and is connected to a control input of the aforementioned voltage regulator. The LEDs are connected to each other in series and an 'N' quantity of LEDs is chosen from the range (Upow-Ust min) / ULED > N > (Upow-Ust max) / ULED where Upow is the peak power supply voltage, Ust max is the maximum working voltage of the current regulator, Ust min is the minimum working voltage of the current regulator and ULED is the working voltage of each LED.</p> |
