<p>Provided is a tool wherein a trap is formed using multiple linear components and the trap is mounted easily on a shaft. The embolus-trapping tool (10) is provided with a support wire (11) and a trap (12) that is supported by the support wire (11). The trap (12) is provided at the distal end of the support wire (11) and has the function of trapping emboli that are released during embolus removal. The trap (12) is provided with a wire assembly that is formed using multiple metal wires (13). The wire assembly is provided with a trap base (21) that defines the space for embolus trapping and three arms (22)-(24) that extend from the trap base (21). The proximal ends of each of the arms (22)-(24) are gathered by a gathering part (25) and said gathering part (25) is affixed to the outer surface of a proximal tubular part (51).</p>
