<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting apparatus and component supply apparatus capable of taking an effective safety measure for a gap in a component supply section where no tape feeders are installed. <P>SOLUTION: A component supply section 4 of an electronic component mounting apparatus includes a protective cover member 7 which, when raised up, blocks a space above a feeder base 6 in the width range of an installation slot 6b, and when laid down, is located at a position not hindering installation of a tape feeder 5, and an up/down mechanism 11 which holds the protective cover member 7 upright when the tape feeder 5 is not installed and which, in a feeder installing operation to insert the tape feeder 5 into the installation slot 6b, deactivates holding the protective cover member 7 upright as a contact fitting member 5e provided on the underside of the tape feeder 5 touches thereon. Thus, this arrangement allows an effective safety measure to be taken for a gap where the tape feeder 5 is not installed without impairing the ease of an operation, such as installation of the tape feeder 5, in the component supply section 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
