<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless terminal device capable of reducing loss of target received signal while avoiding effect on receiving performance, and a control method. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless terminal device includes: a first transmission processing unit 32; a first wireless unit 30 having a first reception processing unit 33; a second wireless unit 40 having a second reception processing unit 42; and a control unit 50. If the first reception processing unit 33 receives a call information while the second reception processing unit 42 receives signals in a specific frequency band, the control unit 50 compares the frequency band used by the first transmission processing unit 32 and the specific frequency band used by the second reception processing unit 42, and searches another available frequency band for the first reception processing unit 33 when the both frequency bands fall within the predetermined scope, and then switches the frequency band used by the first transmission processing unit 33 to another frequency band.
