<p>Disclosed is an electrical rotary machine in which a slit penetrates an edge of an outer circumferential surface of a back yoke part of a split core, leaving both end sections of the back yoke part in the circumferential direction. As a result, the slit assumes a buffer position and a bridge part receives the majority of surface pressure from a cylindrical portion of a retaining ring, and therefore the surface pressure from the cylindrical portion of the retaining ring received by the back yoke part excluding the bridge part is reduced, thereby making it possible to reduce stress that is generated. It is consequently possible for the retaining force of the split core to be retained by the retaining ring, and also for the efficiency of the electrical rotary machine to be increased by reducing iron loss inside the back yoke part and for damage to the electrical rotary machine to be prevented by preventing buckling of the back yoke part.</p> |
