<p>When a transmitter terminal (2A) and a receiver terminal (4B) communicate with each other via a network (10), a communication apparatus (1) controls the communication band(s). In the communication apparatus (1), a reception band measuring unit (23) measures the band(s) for at least one of two communication directions from the transmitter terminal (2A) to the receiver terminal (4B) and from the receiver terminal (4B) to the transmitter terminal (2A). A session table (13) stores information related to the adjustment of bands including a target band indicating a band necessary for the communication. A band adjusting unit (24) reads, from the session table (13), the target band of the direction for which the band has been measured, and adjusts the interval between packet transmissions on the basis of a comparison between the band measured by the reception band measuring unit (23) and the read target band, thereby suppressing or promoting the band.</p> |
