<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of membrane electrode assembly on which a wrinkle generated can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a membrane electrode assembly comprises: a step of obtaining a laminate including a first support base material and a polymer electrolyte membrane attached on the first support base material; a step of forming a first catalyst layer on the polymer electrolyte membrane; a step of attaching a second support base material on the polymer electrolyte membrane on which the first catalyst layer was formed; a step of peeling off the first support base material from the polymer electrolyte membrane on which the second support base material was attached; and a step of forming a second catalyst layer on the polymer electrolyte membrane from which the first support base material was peeled off.
