<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately provide device information while enhancing power saving effect. <P>SOLUTION: In the network system 1, computers PC1-PCn are connected over a network NW with a printer Pr, which holds device information incident to the operation thereof for each information item and includes multiple internal units 13a-13c each having power condition of a normal power mode and a power saving mode. When the printer Pr receives a device information obtaining request specifying an information item from the computer PC1-PCn, a device information control part 17 specifies the internal unit 13a-13c holding the device information of an information item specified in the device information obtaining request by utilizing an information item management part 15, obtains power condition of the internal unit 13a-13c from a power mode management part 14, and transmits the device information obtained from the internal unit 13a-13c to the computer PC1-PCn only for the normal power mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
