<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a measuring apparatus with high measurement accuracy that can easily finish. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a measuring apparatus for detecting three-dimensional movement of a machine tool, a measurement machine or a robot, on a motion axis. The measuring apparatus consists of a holding body (1) in which a plurality of length measuring systems (2,3,4) are arranged and measures intervals to a measuring ball (5) in three-dimensional directions.
