<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a toric intraocular lens folded more compactly and suitably pushed into an eye upon pushing out a toric intraocular lens with an astigmatic diopter by an injector. <P>SOLUTION: The method for designing a bendable intraocular lens inserted into the eye includes: a step to determine the shape of an optical portion by giving a spherical diopter and an astigmatic diopter; a step to form a support portion of a prescribed shape on the outer edge of the optical portion; and a step to determine the forming position of the support portion so that the proximal end part of the support portion formed by the step to determine the shape of the optical portion is positioned out of the astigmatic axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
