<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture container suitable for observing by a microscope with high contrast in culturing work of biological cells or others. <P>SOLUTION: The culture container 10 has a container body 11 and a lid body 12, and a planar-shape bottom part 11a and a cylindrical side part 11b is formed in an integral structure in the container body 11. The lid body 12 has a lid top part 12a covering the container body 11 and a lid side wall part 12b formed so as to being fitted into the container body 11, Further, a body opening part 11c arranged in the center area of the bottom part 11a is closed by the first plate-shape glass 13. A lid body opening part 12c arranged in the lid top part 12a facing the body opening part 11c is closed by the second plate-shape glass 14.
