<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston-cylinder-type shock absorbing device using a viscous fluid, which has a structure of forming to enlarge a cross section of a bottom in a resin-made cylinder thereby reducing buffer load at a stroke end of a piston and permitting the piston to slide surely to the stroke end. <P>SOLUTION: The cylinder 20 is made of resin. One of ends in the cylinder (a cavity 23, for example) is an opening into which the piston can be inserted. A cap member equipped with a seal member (an oil seal, for example) for enclosing the viscous fluid (oil, for example) is provided on an opening side.
