<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel nucleoside compound for treatment of a host infected with a hepatitis C virus; and to provide a pharmaceutical composition containing the compound. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a nucleoside of formula (1) or a salt added with an acid thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the compound.
