<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make exchange of existing connection cables for display control signals unnecessary and to reduce the cost on mounting an in-car display system, when an in-car display system using an LED in-car display device is already mounted in a vehicle such as a rail car and a bus and is to be replaced by the system. <P>SOLUTION: The in-car display device 12 to be mounted on a car includes an image display controller 21 and an LCD in-car display device 22. The image display controller 21 generates, on the basis of a display control signal for an LED in-car display device representing contents of the LED display, a display control signal for the in-car image display device representing contents of image display preliminarily related to the contents of the LED display.
