<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber pig tail and an optical element module which prevents optical fiber from breaking in optical fiber holding member and ensures long life reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber holding member 8 has a first through hole 2 formed at one side; a second through hole 6 having a larger diameter than that of the first through hole 2, which communicates with the first through hole 2; and an optical fiber introduction port 3 formed between the first through hole 2 and the second through hole 6 so as to communicate with each other and the diameter of which expands from the first through hole 2 toward the second through hole 6. The optical fiber introduction port 3 includes therein an alignment pad 12 including a third through hole having the inner diameter same as that of the first through hole; thereby adhesive clog is reduced and an optical fiber 11 is prevented from breaking due to swelling of the adhesive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
