<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an A/D converter, an A/D conversion method, a solid-state imaging device and a camera system which can prevent bit inconsistency and occurrence of incorrect counting. <P>SOLUTION: Each of column processing sections 300 includes: a plurality of comparators 310 comparing an input voltage with a reference voltage of a ramp waveform whose voltage value linearly-changes with time; a lower bit latch section 320 which is triggered by inversion of an output signal of the comparator and latches a plurality of bits generated by a code counter 200 as lower bits in response to the output signal of the inverted comparator; an upper bit counter 330 which sequentially counts the uppermost latch data of the lower bit latch section as a carry, and a bit inconsistency preventing section 340 which prevents the bit inconsistency between an output of the uppermost side lower bit latch section and a lowermost side upper bit counter of the upper bit counter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
