COOLING SYSTEM FOR DATA CENTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for a data center in which a load and a running cost of a chiller unit for cooling a cooling medium are reduced, and the temperature of the cooling medium is raised by drawing heat from electronic equipment.

SOLUTION: The cooling system for a data center includes: a heat exchanger 6 which transfer heat generated from electronic equipment 4 to the cooling medium to draw the heat therefrom; an ice thermal storage device 10 which freezes the cooling medium by radiating the heat of the cooling medium to the atmosphere by means of a heat pipe 15 to store cold energy; and a mixing tank 9 for mixing the cooling medium the temperature of which is made high by drawing the heat of the electronic equipment 4 by the heat exchanger 6 and the cooling medium which is cooled by the ice thermal storage device 10 or a cooler 11 where at least a part of the cooling medium mixed by the mixing tank 9 is supplied to the ice thermal storage device 10 and at least the other part is supplied to the heat exchanger 6 or the cooler 11.
