<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary actuator 1 which reduces the number of components in a bearing 11 to provide a cost advantage, reduces the overall thickness along a driving shaft 8 and reduces the weight and thickness of the rotary actuator 1 to be suitable for on-board use. <P>SOLUTION: A bearing 11 is a single unit formed by integrally forming a receiving side 10a in a bush 5 in an extended manner. Thus, compared to a conventional actuator in which a bush and a radial bearing are individually provided, the number of components are decreased, resulting in a cost advantage. Rotation support of a disk plate 7 is conducted by a rolling ball 10b and the receiving side 10a. Therefore, the structure of the rotary actuator 1 becomes thin and simple. In this structure, the thickness is reduced along the direction of the driving shaft 8 to reduce the weight and thickness of the rotary actuator 1.
