<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing gate with a self-lock function, capable of facilitating opening and closing operations. <P>SOLUTION: The crossing gate includes: a base fixed on the ground; a main pillar installed on the base in a standing manner; a gate rod rotatably pivoted to the main pillar within a plane perpendicular to the ground; and a driving wheel rotatably journaled to the main pillar. A roller is journaled to a rim part of the driving wheel and the roller is fitted into a roller guide rail of the gate rod so as to run. When the driving wheel is rotated within a range of 270 degrees, the gate rod oscillates between a closing position and an opening position. While the gate rod is in the closing position or the opening position, an angle of a connecting line between a rotational center of the driving wheel and the roller to the roller guide rail of the gate rod becomes 90 degrees, so that the gate rod is locked on the main pillar side. Under the main pillar, a wire pulley is journaled to be rotatable, and on an outer periphery part of the rim part of the driving wheel, a wire guide groove is formed. A wire is endlessly bridged between the wire pulley and the wire guide groove of the driving wheel to make the driving wheel and the wire pulley interlocking with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
