<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method with which dust is restrained from being stuck after a washing step and the dust which is stuck after the washing step, is prevented from remaining in a coating film. <P>SOLUTION: The coating method comprises: the washing step S2 of washing a plate-shaped object 1 to be coated; a drying step S3 of removing moisture which is stuck to the plate-shaped object 1 to be coated at the washing step S2; a coating step S4 of pouring a coating material of the amount which is equal to or more than that required to form a coating film, on the plate-shaped object 1 to be coated; and a coating material curing step S5 of curing the coating material applied to the plate-shaped object 1 to be coated, at the least.
