The present invention relates to a method for processing thin sheets of glass and to a device for the same, and more specifically relates to a heat-treatment method for processing the edges of thin sheets of glass and to a device for the same. In the thin-sheet glass processing method of the present invention, the edges of a thin sheet of glass are subjected to melt processing by using a flame to process the rim. The method according to the present invention can prevent the glass from breaking during grinding, and can prevent glass powder created during grinding from contaminating the process. Additionally, the strength of the ground surface is enhanced after processing.
