<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to arrange a system and an image receiver more accurately to acquire an improved image even though a technician is not physically in close proximity to an X-ray system, particularly even when a patient is in a complicated position. <P>SOLUTION: A handheld X-ray interface device (38) of an X-ray system (10) includes a wireless interface (76) for communicating with an imaging system (12) and a tracking device (144) configured to provide a location and/or to track movement of the handheld X-ray interface device (38) relative to the imaging system (12).
