<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system and a server changeover method which are capable of forming redundancy configuration without being equipped with an active server and a standby server relative to each communication network. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring system 10 monitors a plurality of communication networks in use of SNMP. The number N of active servers 12-1 to 12-n are assigned mutually different logical IP addresses, and the number N of recording units 15-1 to 15-n have mutually different identification IDs. A switch unit 14 establishes a connection path between active servers 12-1 to 12-n and recording units 15-1 to 15-n. If any of the N active servers 12-1 to 12-n has trouble, a standby server 13 obtains a logical IP address of a faulty active server, and controls the switch unit 14 to switch a connection path to the own server; thereby continuing operation of the faulty active server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
