<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a recording method to suppress image quality deterioration of an image. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a first recording method in which regular processing and end processing are performed on the basis of the position of a defective nozzle in a nozzle train, the regular processing for recording the image at a center part in a predetermined direction of a medium, and the end processing for recording the image at the end of the medium, the end processing in which a relative moving amount in the predetermined direction of the medium to the nozzle train is smaller than a relative moving amount in the regular processing. There is also provided a second recording method in which intermediate processing is performed between the regular processing and the end processing, the intermediate processing in which a relative moving amount is equal to or above the relative moving amount in the end processing, and is equal to or below the relative moving amount in the regular processing. In the method for determining the recording method, the recording method to be performed by the fluid ejecting apparatus is selected out of the first recording method and the second recording method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
