<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device capable of appropriately switching the connection of a thermoelectric element without installing a temperature sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A portable device comprises: a first unit including a display part 3 and a thermoelectric element 10 provided so as to be in proximity to the display part 3; a second unit that elongates against the first unit in use and is overlapped with the first unit at the time of storage; and a control unit 11 that switches a polarity of electric power supplied from the thermoelectric element 10 to a secondary cell based on a signal relating to control of an on/off state of the display part 3. The control unit 11 switches between a polarity of the connection of a secondary cell 12 and a thermoelectric element 10 when the display part 3 is in an on state and the polarity of the connection of the secondary cell 12 and the thermoelectric element 10 when the display part 3 is in an off state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
