<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air termination joint with stable performance, even if a high impulse voltage is applied, capable of preventing a dielectric breakdown caused by a triple junction which is generated when insulating oil, a cable insulator, and air contact each other, while eliminating the necessity of a corona shield at around the outer circumference of an upper fitting. <P>SOLUTION: An inner space 170 is formed by an outer peripheral surface 141a of a cable insulator 141, an inner peripheral surface 110d of a porcelain tube 110, and a lower end surface 130a of an upper fitting 130. The inner space 170 is filled with insulation oil 180 in such a manner that a predetermined air layer 190 is left at the upper portion of the space. An air termination joint 100 has an inner shield 200 which is mounted in such a manner that it extends toward the inner space 170 from the lower end surface 130a of the upper fitting 130, and which covers the outer periphery of a conductor connection terminal 150. The inner shield 200, by submerging its rear end part into the insulation oil 180 by a predetermined depth, covers a triple junction P where the cable insulator 141, the insulation oil 180, and the air layer 190 contact each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
