<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide easy operation relating to the power source of a video reproduction apparatus which reproduces the video. <P>SOLUTION: When a set top box 10 has to be turned on according to a power control signal and a monitor 20 is off, the set top box 10 transmits the power control signal to the monitor 20 to turn on.
