<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yoke member for a universal joint, which can prolong a peeling life of a joint cross member, and a method for manufacturing the yoke member. <P>SOLUTION: The yoke member 10 includes a yoke body portion 11 and a pair of arms 12 and 13 elongated in a bifurcated shape from the yoke body portion 11. The universal joint 20 comprises the joint cross member 21 which are provided with four shaft portions 22 arranged in a cross shape, a plurality of rollers 23 which are rollably disposed around the shaft portions 22, and bearing cups 24 which are mounted in a relatively rotatable manner on the shaft portions 22 via the rollers 23. The paired bearing cups 24 are coupled together by being held by a pair of holding holes 14 and 15 which are provided in the arms 12 and 13, respectively. Respective central axes L1 and L2 of the pair of holding holes 14 and 15 of the yoke member 10 are set to be put into a mutually misaligned state when the pair of arms 12 and 13 is put into an unloaded state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
