<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new disaccharide comprising fructose and glucose and having α-bonded fructose residue. <P>SOLUTION: The new disaccharide is α-D-fructofuranosyl-(2→6)-D-glucopyranose in which the fructose residue is (2-6)bonded to glucose by α-bond. Sucrose is added to a cut plant so as to contain glucide of 1/10 to double of a material weight, and a plant extract is obtained by utilizing the osmolarity of sucrose to extract. By naturally fermenting the plant extract, α-D-frustofuranosyl-(2→6)-D-glucopyranose is generated in the fermented extract to obtain the objective glucopyranose.
