<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar radiation detection device for vehicles of which the original functions of a solar battery for supplying power is effectively utilized, and the solar battery is usable also as a solar radiation sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The solar radiation detection device for vehicles includes: the solar battery for supplying power to on-vehicle equipment loaded on a vehicle; a generated power detection part which detects generated power of the solar battery; a basic solar radiation amount calculation part which calculates a basic solar radiation amount which the solar battery receives from the sun based on the detected generated power of the solar battery; a current date information acquisition part which acquires current date information including the current date; a current position information acquisition part which acquires current position information including the current position of the vehicle; a solar radiation direction specification part which specifies the solar radiation direction to the vehicle based on the acquired current date information and the acquired current position information; and an actual solar radiation detection part which calculates an actual solar radiation amount to be actually radiated to the vehicle from the basic solar radiation amount based on the specified solar radiation direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
