CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, which includes a variable valve mechanism of an intake valve.

SOLUTION: The control device for the internal combustion engine includes: a control means for controlling output of the internal combustion engine so that a detection value of an air-fuel ratio sensor can converge on a target air-fuel ratio; a torque computing means for computing torque of each cylinder on the basis of a detection value of a crank angle sensor; a first target air-fuel ratio setting means for setting a first target air-fuel ratio based on an operating condition; a second target air-fuel ratio setting means for setting a second target air-fuel ratio by changing the first target air-fuel ratio by a predetermined amount based on valve timing of the intake valve; and an air-fuel ratio variation detecting means for detecting variations in the air-fuel ratios of the cylinders on the basis of the first torque of each cylinder when the output of the internal combustion engine is controlled to converge on the first target air-fuel ratio and the second torque of each cylinder when the output of the internal combustion engine is controlled to converge on the second target air-fuel ratio.
