A method for an audio and video call is used in video conference system, and said video conference system at least comprises a first terminal and a second terminal, which both comprise a telephone and a video communication unit separately. The method includes: After a telephone session is established between the telephone of the first terminal and the telephone of the second terminal, the video communication unit of the second terminal acquires the address information of the video communication unit in the first terminal through the telephone session, and the video communication unit of the second terminal initiates an audio and video call to the video communication unit of the first terminal based on the address information. A device and system for an audio and video call are also offered in the embodiments of the invention. Since a telephone session is established through the existing telephone network, and the address information of the video communication unit is transferred in the already established telephone session, thus a user doesn't need to acquire the video address of the called party, which makes it convenient for the user to use a video communication system. |
