<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver and an optical transmission device which shorten a compensation dispersion value setting time of a variable dispersion compensation device. <P>SOLUTION: An optical receiver selects a first and a second dispersion value, acquires in advance a stabilization time required to change a dispersion value used for compensation from the first dispersion value to the second, a variation time shorter than the stabilization time, and the difference between the dispersion value after the variation time and the second dispersion value, compensates an optical signal received by the selected first dispersion value, generates a first extraction information of a clock about the first dispersion value, changes the dispersion value used for compensation from the first dispersion value to the second, compensates the received optical signal by the dispersion value at the time the variation time has lapsed from the time the dispersion value started changing, generates a second extraction information of a clock about the dispersion value after the variation time, and compensates the optical signal by the dispersion value calculated based on the second dispersion value and the difference between the dispersion value after the variation time and the second dispersion value when the second extraction information shows possibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
