<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor control apparatus including a transmission to reduce deceleration feel generated during a speed change upon the completion of acceleration and prevent damage of a propeller, etc. due to interference of the outboard motor with the ground surface when landing a vessel. <P>SOLUTION: This outboard motor control apparatus includes a transmission and a trim angle adjusting mechanism. The control device includes a trim switch for outputting an adjustment instruction of a trim angle in response to an operator's manipulation, a first trim angle controller for controlling an operation of the trim angle adjusting mechanism according to a speed change control in the transmission to adjust the trim angle, and a second trim angle controller for controlling an operation of the trim angle adjusting mechanism according to the adjustment instruction of the trim angle output from the trim switch to adjust the trim angle.
