<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston/cylinder air damper which is formed of less number of parts and which can release an internal pressure through projecting parts or recessed parts formed on or in the inner surface of a cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: In the air damper 10, an air chamber is formed in a cylinder 20 by providing a seal part in contact with the inner periphery of the cylinder 20 to the outer periphery of a piston. The piston is moved in the cylinder 20 relative to each other between one and the other ends of the cylinder 20 to flow the air in the air chamber for braking. The cylinder 20 is closed at one end, and includes the projecting parts or recessed parts on or in the inner surface. A rotary mechanism for rotating at least the seal part by the movement of the piston may be provided between the cylinder 20 and the side of the piston. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
