<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a wireless LAN router device equipped with a WAN module. <P>SOLUTION: When a wireless LAN router device 10 is wire connected with a computer 20, the wireless LAN router device 10 determines whether a communication state with a wireless LAN slave unit is met with a predetermined condition, and if it determines the predetermined condition is met, it transfers connection information on WAN connection from the wireless LAN router device 10 to the computer 20, and switches a host of a wireless WAN communication module 103 from a main control unit 110 of the wireless LAN router device 10 to the computer 20. Then, the wireless LAN router device 10 turns off at least one of the main control unit 110 and each block corresponding to a wireless LAN control function, and each block corresponding to a router function of the wireless LAN router device 10.
