<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap motor capable of increasing motor torque while reducing its size and weight and facilitating its assemblage. <P>SOLUTION: An axial gap motor is provided with a stator 2a of which at least one of its front side and rear side is a polar face, and a rotor 3a whose polar face is facing to the polar face of the stator 2a. The stator 2a is formed by arranging a stator core 5a, wedge-shaped in plan view, with a divided magnetic pole structure having at least one intermediate magnetic pole 11a in between an external diameter side magnetic pole 9 and an internal diameter side magnetic pole 10. Each of the external diameter side magnetic pole 9, the internal diameter side magnetic pole 10, and the intermediate magnetic pole 11a of the stator core 5a is integrally excited by a coil 12 to achieve reduction in size and weight of an axial gap motor 1A and to facilitate its assemblage, thereby increasing motor torque. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
