PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional display device easier for a user to use.

SOLUTION: A television 1 comprises: an IrSS infrared photodetection part 120 to receive an image; a CPU 118 to judge whether the image received by the IrSS infrared photodetection part 120 is a two-dimensional image or a three-dimensional image; and an LCD controller 109 to display in three-dimension if the image received by the IrSS infrared photodetection part 120 is judged by the CPU 118 as a three-dimensional image and display in two-dimension if judged as a two-dimensional image.
