<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and an operation control method capable of executing different operations in accordance with a state before a user touches a touch screen with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A position detection part detects first coordinates when it senses an approach of pointing means to a first position having a first distance from a touch screen, and detects second coordinates when it senses an approach of the pointing means to a second position that is closer to the touch screen than from the first position. An operation control part controls operation of a controlled part based on the first coordinates and the second coordinates. A detection sensitivity control part changes the detection sensitivity of the position detection part from a first sensitivity to a second sensitivity when the position detection part senses an approach of the pointing means to the first position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
