<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of suppressing driver's odd feeling. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device is installed in the vehicle, and includes: a road shape recognizing means for recognizing the shape of the road on which the vehicle travels; a speed control means for performing deceleration control by driving an actuator so that a target speed calculated based on a curve when the road shape recognizing means recognizes the curve ahead of the driving road; and a straight proceeding state determination means for determining the straight proceeding state of the vehicle.
